Below are some of the most common questions clients ask before booking a signing with Front Door Notary.
If you still need help, just contact us - we're happy to guide you through it.
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
You’ll need a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID such as a Kentucky driver’s license, state ID, U.S. passport, or military ID.
The name on your ID must match the name on your document, and you must appear in person before the notary for every signature.
Do you travel anywhere in Kentucky?
Yes! Front Door Notary serves clients statewide, with travel fees based on mileage from Crittenden, KY.
We frequently travel throughout Northern Kentucky, Grant, Boone, Kenton, Gallatin, Owen, and surrounding counties.
What types of documents can you notarize?
In Kentucky, we can notarize nearly any document that requires a notarial act, including:
-
Real estate and mortgage documents
-
Power of attorney forms
-
Vehicle titles (including for DMV transfers)
-
Wills, affidavits, and oaths
-
Business, legal, and financial contracts
-
General notarizations and acknowledgments
How much do you charge?

We understand plans change. Simply contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to reschedule or cancel without penalty.
Late cancellations may be subject to a small travel fee if we’re already en route.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, credit cards, and other forms of electronic payment. Please inquire about specific payment options when booking your appointment.
Can you notarize documents signed by someone who isn’t present?
No — Kentucky law requires the signer to personally appear before the notary.
This rule ensures the notary can verify the signer’s identity and willingness to sign.
Do you offer remote or online notarization?
Currently, Front Door Notary specializes in in-person mobile notarization.
While Kentucky allows online notarization under certain rules (KRS 423.455), we focus on face-to-face service for authenticity and security.
